Day 1: Islamabad to Chilas (Via Karakoram Highway)
  • Departure: Begin your journey with an early morning departure from Islamabad, traveling along the Karakoram Highway.
  • Journey Highlights: Enjoy the scenic drive through lush valleys, with picturesque views of mountains and rivers.
  • Stopover: Arrive in Chilas by evening, a convenient stop on the way to Skardu.
  • Accommodation: Check-in at a hotel in Chilas, where you can relax and prepare for the next leg of your journey.
  • Meals: Dinner provided.
Day 2: Chilas to Kachura (Skardu) – Visit Upper Kachura Lake and Shangrila Resort
  • Morning: After an early breakfast, continue your journey towards Skardu, passing through beautiful mountainous terrain along the Indus River.
  • Arrival in Kachura (Skardu): Reach Kachura, Skardu, by early afternoon. Check in at your hotel and settle in.
  • Sightseeing:
    • Upper Kachura Lake: Begin your exploration with Upper Kachura Lake, partially frozen in winter. Surrounded by cliffs and snow-covered landscapes, it’s a beautiful spot for photography and a quiet walk.
    • Shangrila Resort (Lower Kachura Lake): Visit Shangrila Resort, a scenic lake spot with charming red cottages and a peaceful winter setting.
  • Evening: Return to the hotel in Kachura for a restful night.

Day 3: Explore Skardu – Skardu Fort, Katpana Cold Desert, and Local Markets
  • Morning: After breakfast, head into Skardu city for a full day of exploration.
  • Activities:
    • Skardu Fort (Kharpocho Fort): Climb up to Skardu Fort, a historic fortress offering panoramic views of the Skardu Valley, Indus River, and surrounding mountains.
